Patriarchal Blessing

So I finally recieved my Patriarchal blessing on Sunday. I really would have liked to have mom and dad there but I felt like now was the right time to get it.
It was here on campus in the Honor Code Office. The Patriarchs name is Brother Sommer. He is probably the cutest little old man I've ever seen. It was him and his wife in the room. They have six kids and 22 grandkids and some great grandkids. They were overly sweet! They asked about my family and told me stories about Patriarchal blessings. Brother Sommers was so cute he was constantly smiling and was always laughing!
It was a very special time for me and the spirit was so strongly there. I cannot wait to recieve the hard copy of it to read over and over again. I will never forget the feelings and spirit I felt. It was life changing.
I'm so grateful for all of you who have made such a huge impact in my life! I love you!

I'm so excited for you, Sarah! I'm glad that you had such a wonderful experience - even if no one in the family could be there with you.

Congratulations!!

I was 19 when I got mine and had also waited to feel that it was the right time. What an experience!
